Champion Jim Tooker with training simulator at HomeSafety Academy

Jim Tooker briefly introduces us to the HomeSafety Academy ShotGun

We have all, at times, wondered why the clay didn’t break. You are now learning about a product that can and will show you exactly where your shot-string (shot pattern) was in relationship to the clay. Look closely at the picture below and see how our simulator takes the guess work out of every shot. When you miss, you will know exactly where you missed.

Were you behind, in front, over the top, or below? And when you hit, you will know exactly how close to “dead center” you were.

Have you ever wondered exactly how far away the target was when you broke it? Have you wondered if you are using the right choke?

Our dryfire simulator will give you the facts and help you answer these questions, then, you can decide if you want to make a change.

You will See and Receive Details
After Every Shot

In the lower left corner of the screen you are given five facts about your last shot.

  1. Did you “Hit or Miss” the clay.
  2. How far in “inches” was the center of your shot-string (pattern) in front of or behind the center of the clay.
  3. How far in “inches” was the center of your shot-string (pattern) above or below the center of the clay.
  4. How many yards was the clay from your muzzle when the shot-string (pattern) hit or missed the clay.
  5. The time, measured in hundredth of a second, from the launch of the clay until the shot-string (pattern) hit or missed the clay.

Jim,

can’t thank you enough for your time and efforts to help me get certified as an NRA instructor. I really enjoyed myself and I will be looking for a shotgun, with your help. I think the shotgun I used today is one that I think would be a great selection.

Let’s go out again,

Best, Jeff

World’s Most Expensive Shotguns

World's Most Expensive Shotguns

The shotgun is a flexible weapon, with uses ranging from sporting to military applications. To shotgun aficionados, however, only the best matter—and “best” takes on a particular meaning in the world of shotguns.

A “best gun” is a double-barreled shotgun made with all the care and precision of a work of art. The cream of the crop is the London best—a shotgun made by premier gun makers of London such as Boss & Co., Holland & Holland or J. Purdey & Sons.

In 2008, Christie’s held their Exceptional and Fine Sporting Guns and Rifles sale in London. The highlight of the event was a pair of gold-inlaid 12-bore shotguns by J. Purdey & Sons. Gunsmith Ken Hunt was inspired by the Royal Armouries in the Tower of London. These shotguns are particularly notable for the profusion of gold used in their making and are displayed in an exquisite oak and leather case.

Valued at $320,000 to $400,000, it’s safe to say these fantastic firearms are the most expensive shotguns in the world.
